Sign Language Recognition is a breakthrough for helping deaf-mute people and has been researched for many years. I built a sign language recognizer, training it using the MNIST sign language database. The idea here is to build a model to recognize what alphabet is being referred to in the sign language.
I have done this project as a part of the interview process at Visiontronix, a startup providing ComputerVision based solutions.
